Two Green
Cities
Two Green Cities; the Watling Street
Connection.

Steve is proud to present a new 'Grand Tour'
which will take place
on Monday 23rd April
2012.

This covers the cities of London and St.
Albans, (Londinium and Verulamium) and
looks at the Roman ruins in both cities. To
travel between the two we use the City
Thames Link train services.
This tour includes
return travel from London to St. Albans.

We start in the City of London at the Royal
Exchange, and enjoy a short guided tour of
some of the Roman ruins of Londinium, then
travelling with your guide on City Thames
Link near St. Pauls, we take a fast train to St.
Albans.

On arrival we stop for refreshments at a
lovely tea and coffee house before proceeding
on our walking tour to the Cathedral to visit
the Shrine of St. Alban, and then onto
Verulamium Park to tour the Roman ruins.

The course of Watling Street will be
highlighted as it crosses the City of London, as
well as where it enters Verulamium. We will
also tour the Roman walls of Verulamium and
the Roman Villa mosaic and hypocaust.

This unique day tour starts on the steps of the
Royal Exchange in London by Exit 3 of the
Bank tube station at 11.30am, and finishes at
around 3.30pm in St. Albans. You will have
free time to explore further, and then return
to London using your inclusive return train
ticket.

This tour costs £20 per person, which includes
return rail travel from London to St. Albans.
Places are limited to ensure a comfortable
day, so please contact steve via e-mail if you
would like places. This tour will run on
Monday 23rd April 2012.
